A cowboy wanted by the law...
Was riding on a dark and windy day...
So far is what I can fully recall...
Then stopped to rest along the way.

He stood on the highest mountain peak...
To go on for a while and take a rest...
All though his eyes were almost fully weak...
He noticed something coming from the west.

Then in the distance a massive hoard...
Of mighty black flaming eyed bulls he saw...
Based on a legend that no one heard...
Charging along the dark night sky leaving him in awe.

Their brand were still on fire...
Hooves made of bright and shiny steel...
Horns made of gold to capture any desire...
He couldn't believe for it was just too real.

Fear went through him as they rolled through the sky...
He thought it was a sign that wasn't at all very good...
Then behind the hoard he saw some riders as they cried...
While the frighting hoard over passed where he stood...

"Yeah boys!..
No matter how much this annoys!..
If we catch this hoard we'll be free of the noise!..
Finally break away from being the Devil's toys!"

They are phantom riders of the skies.

Their face was a flaming skull out of their graves...
Their horses were black and its hair was pure flames...
It seems they were some how trapped as eternal slaves...
Wanted to catch the hoard badly, they weren't playing games.

It looks like they have to ride forever the skies...
With horses snorting fire as they charged on...
While they all ride along one can hear repeated cries...
Which describes they are the Devil's eternal pawns.

"Yeah boys!..
No matter how much this annoys!..
If we catch this hoard we'll be free of the noise!..
Finally break away from being the Devil's toys!"

They are known as phantom riders of the skies.

Finally all the riders passes right by him very close...
As they passed one of the riders called his name...
While seeing the horses blowing fire out of their nose...
"Ha, ha, your future is only yours to blame!"

"If you don't want to end up the same way...
In this eternal chase and senseless ride...
Hey cowboy, better start changing today...
Or end up trying to catching the devil's hoard  across these timeless sky!"

Just like that they rode on across the night...
Left behind was the repeated shouts they made...
A long and almost endless line of flames in sight...
And the cowboy never forgot the call when they did fade.
